Location
Turtle Island is located in the Yasawa Island Group. It is blessed with 14 naturally occuring palm fringed beaches. Your time on Turtle is your own, whether you want to stroll the beaches, wade in the turquoise waters, or just swing on a hammock overlooking one of our white sand beaches and blue lagoons. Some beaches are adjacent to the living and dining areas but most are secluded and private. Several are bounded on either end by high cliffs, set in a cove or protected by an outcropping of volcanic rock. Picnics are offered to several of these private beaches. Picnics are also offered on the beach outside of the guests’ bure.

THE BLUE LAGOON : The Blue Lagoon is as clear as new blown glass and offers spectacular displays and diversions. Living coral reefs of blue, green and yellow, called "fringing reefs" ring the island and are home to colorful galaxies of fish, from lion to angel to buttterfly fish. Squid and octopi live here too, as well as sea cucumbers rays and crabs. Don snorkel gear and go eye-to-eye with a green or hawksbill turtle. Discover the magic of Turtle Island.

Accommodation
During your stay at Turtle, your home will be one of only 14 "bures". Hand built by Fijian craftsman your two room beachside cottage suite is situated on the beach of the incredible Blue Lagoon. Each offers all of the comforts and serenity of a private, holiday home. Your separate sitting room features comfortable rattan chairs and couches with a full wet bar and a refrigerator stocked with your favorite beverages and an ice maker. Sunlight and sea breezes stream through the many louvered windows and highlight the hand woven 21 foot vaulted ceilings.

Grand Bures have a king size four poster bed, an extensive dressing area, a private "Hot Springs" jetted spa tub, an outdoor shower and outdoor verandah with daybed.

Deluxe Bures have a queen size four poster bed, two full baths, a rattan furnished sitting room and writing desk.

All Bures are equipped with hairdryers, Bose CD players, tea and coffee making facilities, toiletries, irons and ironing boards.

Activities
RELAXATION : After a few days, most guests realize the real pleasures here go beyond what the eye can see. You’ll easily surrender to the leisurely flow of our friendly, sun filled Fijian days. Neighboring islanders host activities such as Sunday morning church services, a mission school visit or an open air market. At day’s end, many guests enjoy sitting under the huge banyan tree, sharing "kava" (the ceremonial drink) and song with other guests and staff.

There are no luxury high rises, no tennis courts, no airfields, no shopping malls. No televisions, no newspapers, no billboards. Just unspoiled natural beauty and the gentle rhythm of the tides.

FUN-FILLED ACTIVITIES : For those of you who may have brought with you an unbridled sense of energy for activity - look no further …

SNORKELING - Fiji is world-renowned for the fantastic beauty of its underwater environment. Tropical fish flash through a blue heaven of ocean and castles of roseate coral. You might see the brilliant parrotfish, lionfish, angelfish, crescent perch, sea cucumbers, and even octopi in your travels through the lagoon.

Diving
Turtle is ideal for divers. We have stunning virgin reefs and superb visibility. There are no other divers in the water and there is no current. There are hundreds of species of fish to be found only a 20- minute boat ride from Turtle. In the deeper regions offshore, guests have spotted dolphins, tuna, pilot whales, sailfish, marlin, manta rays, and many other species of fish.

DIVING EQUIPMENT - Though you must be certified, and bring your own regulator (rental available) and dive card, the resort will provide you with full foot fins, masks, weight belts, and tanks, as well as expert direction from our very knowledgeable staff.

Golf
There isn’t a Golf Course on Turtle Island but Turtle can offer a Golf package that will make your last day in Fiji a memorable one! includes Green Fee, Shared Cart, Practice Ball prior to play, Hire Equipment and Hire Shoes at the Denarau Golf & Racquet Club on the Main island of Vita Levu. Also included are showers, luggage storage, and lounge facilities. What better way to spend your last day in Fiji!

Weddings
YOUR FIJIAN WEDDING : Imagine celebrating that special day in an exotic tropical setting; meeting your loved one on a white, sandy beach with a warm breeze stirring the air. On Turtle, weddings are special events, and some of our guests’ fondest memories are of the delightful Fijian wedding ceremonies held at sunset on the shores of the famous Blue Lagoon

Fishing
DEEP SEA FISHING - Expert guides, top of the line equipment, and a fast boat to get you where the action is!

FLY FISHING - Miles of unspoiled shoreline, pristine shallow reefs and an abundant fish population with little fishing pressure combine to make the Yasawas a perfect fly fisherman’s’ paradise. Target species include bonefish, trevally, coral trout and red sea bass. Turtle Island does not provide instruction for this sport and suggests that guests bring their own equipment.
